Infectious Disease Safety Plan / Policies

Protocols for Drop Off and Pick Up During Covid-19, and preventing the spread of other infectious diseases in humans or in dogs.

Please abide by our carefully thought out policies

  • APPOINTMENT ONLY. Only those with appointments will be allowed into the shop. Absolutely NO drop-ins for any reason.
  • Drop in Nail Trimming service still suspended for now*. Safety first. We often have dogs in the small entry in a holding area after drop off or before their arranged pickup time. For their safety and security, we can’t have other people and dogs going through the entry way. We did try  nail trims by appointment for about 6 months and for a lot of reasons, it wasn’t working very well. *We hope to bring this service back late summer 2022 when we have worked out some logistics to do with our layout and scheduling. Drop in services potentially quadruple our traffic.
  • Dogs need to be up to date on vaccines.
  • Dogs will be kept separate unless from the same household. This helps prevent the spread of kennel cough, other disease, and parasites.
  • Be on time. We are trying to keep everyone safe by scheduling drop off and pick up at specific times to avoid close contact between clients and allow time for cleaning and airing. If you can’t make your assigned time, please call to arrange a new one. 
  • Wear a mask. Masks that cover the nose and mouth are required to enter. Please don’t ask us to let you in without one. Please don’t pull your mask down to talk. Masks with valves are not acceptable as they do not prevent the spread of germs. We wear masks 100% of the time in our shop because we care about you and we care about your dogs. Please wear a mask for the few minutes that you are here.
  • Please remove all gear – leashes, collars, harnesses – and take it with you, and put your dog on the other side of the gate in the entry way.
  •  Walk your dog. We don’t have time for accident clean up and re-bathing. If your dog does have an accident, we will need to charge a fee for the additional work and cleaning supplies to clean it up.
  • Door will be locked at all times. You will need to be buzzed in, and only those people with appointments will be allowed into shop, If you need to talk to us, call. We may not answer the phone if we have our hands full, but if you leave a message, we will call you back when we can.  
  • Tap preferred if you are able to keep payment contactless, but we still take VISA, Mastercard, Amex, Debit and Cash. Machine is cleaned after each use and sanitizer is available.
